 Parent/Guardian Contact Form

Rush Springs Public Schools believes confidentiality between counselor and student to be an essential part of the counseling process. However, there are circumstances in which this confidentiality has its limit. According to the American School Counselor Association’s Ethical Standard A.9.a (2016),  counselors should “Inform parents/guardians and/or appropriate authorities when a student poses a serious and foreseeable risk of harm to self or others.”

This includes but is not limited to

                1. Physical and/or Sexual Abuse

                2. Neglect

                3. Sexual Harrassment

                4. Desire to harm others

                5. Desire to self-harm
